Criminal
law is that law which for the purpose of preventing
harm to society, (a) declares what conduct is criminal,
and (b) prescribes the punishment to be imposed
for such conduct. It includes the definition of
specific offenses and general principles of liability.
Sustentative criminal laws are commonly codified
into criminal or penal codes; e.g. U.S.C.A.

DUI
Driving
under the influence of intoxicating liquor or controlled
or prohibited substance. NRS 484-379. (1) It is
unlawful for any person who is under the influence
of intoxicating liquor, has a concentration of alcohol
of 0.08 or more in his blood or breath or is found
by measurement within 2 hours after driving or being
in actual control of a vehicle on a highway or on
premises to which the public has access. (2) It
is unlawful for any person who is under the influence
of a controlled substance or a combination of controlled
substance or intoxicating liquor, to drive or be
in actual physical control of a vehicle on a highway
or on premises to which the public has access.
